starscream. "does it still count as failure or even humiliation when it's all anyone expects of you" sums it up pretty well
lyrics
(ezra)
if you want it you should take it
if you want it you'll become it
if you really understand it
if you are it then you'll love it
looking upwards at a distance,
he's got that self assuredness
hollow-point ego and a head full of plans
overcompensating constantly going too far
twisted up, blown out, trying way too hard
(he was easily spotted and out of place, flashy paintjob dented and scraped but still instantly recognizable. the turbines on his heels click with uneven briskness on the floor of the hall on the way to his quarters.)
it's all about the posture
shrinking away out of a room
or shooting for dominance, and missing
by a longshot
there's no chance of success
you'd be the latest of a billion
if you're telling him that, though
(no one in his line of vision seems willing to meet his optics, and casual conversations pause awkwardly until he's out of sight. if he notices he doesn't let on; the high ranks have no room for weaklings.
does it still count as failure or even humiliation when it's all anyone expects of you?)

THE MOST IMPORTANT FANMUSIC ALBUM OF ALL TIME ANYWHERE EVER literally the entire reason starscream polycule happened. just in general an incredible artist and an immense inspiration to me Ezra Exorcism
even tho i've got a fav track for this album, every song here is so fucking good. i love the high variations of samples between each one! no track is like the other whatsoever, with the only common trait being the absolutely crazy and ear-splitting bpm carried out through the wonderfully composed amen breaks. this is the most masterful mashcore i've ever listened to and i loved that this creativity was carried into the 2nd bape fiends album! makes me more excited for future bape fiends projects! The gothy songs on the latest EP from Raven Ives are full of haunting shadows, with ghostly vocals drifting through an ocean of synth. Bandcamp New & Notable May 23, 2022
